breezeshadowFirst off, J.J is hosting a love meme here. I won't say much about it since love memes tend to be kind of bittersweet for me, for various private reasons and public. But do go share some love. I'll do my best to mosey over and comment to some extent.
I also am back in CA. The wedding was really lovely and beautiful. It was Renaissance-themed and the bride and groom wore extremely non-traditional beautiful Renaissance wear instead of the typical "white purity virgin dress" and "manly man tuxedo". Also the priest dressed like a friar.
It was really nice to see all of my friends again, though it'd be nice if they weren't still in the mentality that the only way you can have fun with people is if you drink mind-altering drugs and need designated drivers to drive your own damn car back to your hotel, followed by someone to drive THEM home so they aren't stranded. Come on now.
But the next day I went to the Cornell Plantations, then the Cornell Lab of Ornithology with another friend. So here are some photos:
We're not entirely sure why it's called the Cornell Plantations.
It's basically a park or reserve.
There were quite a lot of geese around, and one idiot we were with wanted to try and approach or fight them, despite our warnings that they would KICK HIS ASS.
Trying to improve my ability to photograph fish. Usually I get them in the photo, but not in focus or easily noticeable.
Idiot was convinced the geese were scared of us despite Canadian Geese having no fear. I finally said he had "I am a human" syndrome.
Oh and he kept calling them ducks. And apparently he's a bio major to become a doctor. Weep with me.
If you spot the frog in that last picture, you have better vision than I.
These signs confused us so much, because, on the water? Were they written for Jesus?
I'm proud of this dragonfly picture. IT was a pain in the ass to photograph.
ALso practicing my long-distance shots.
And we end with a bunny.
All right. I need to head off to the shower, then signing my lease for the next year, then work, but for those who don't have experience with geese:
See the look on its face? THat's not a look of fear. That's a look of "You better move from my babies before YOU DIE."
Seriously guys. You may be a human, but you are helpless to geese.
