raze had a part in this happening, because we somehow ended up talking about how hilarious it'd be if a human returned Nur's constant flirting. Like awkward coffee dates and shit. And then this happened. The awkward coffee dates are next. >:]
--
The cool night breeze rustled her wings as Nur walked down the street, her fur standing up to protect her from the chill. She was dressed as best she could for the climate, but her first priority was not to ward off the cold, for she did not plan to have to worry about it for very long. White stockings -- without the feet of course, otherwise her claws would destroy them -- protected her lower legs, and the gown she had picked was impressive enough on the bottom at least to provide plenty of warmth there, though her mane stuck up on her bare shoulders and back. She, after all, had not exactly picked much to go underneath the dress.
Her bare claws clicked on the cobblestone street as she walked, and of course she got a few stares. The dress was custom-made to fit her as a vampire after all, and so the fabric swept open in the back to accommodate her wings and thick mane, finally sweeping closed right at the waist where the endless ruffles and frills began. Underneath the ruffles her thick-furred tail peaked out, which she really would have preferred to have hidden, but if she kept it under the dress she just tripped over everything and that was not even remotely attractive.
Combined with the prominent snout, large triangular ears on top of her head, big round eyes, and the impressive scars that covered one half of her face and lightened up just before vanishing beneath of hem of her dress, and Nur knew she looked truly bizarre. That was the fun of it, however; humans had very stubborn, unrelenting opinions on fashion and what was "proper". She tried to stomp on that whenever she could.
A group stared at her as they passed ways; Nur blew a kiss to them over her fan, winking and flicking her tail. The hurried walk afterward never got old.
But she had other goals in mind besides confusing the common night dwellers. Ears perked forward, Nur could just hear the music coming from the hall and picked up her pace, sweeping past a few men who had just enough alcohol in their system to issue catcalls. Nur grinned back, lifting the hem of her dress a little more than necessary to curtsy before moving onward.
The men outside of the dance hall had their eyebrows lifted before she was even close enough to greet them. Smiling, Nur lifted her hand; two gold coins fell into her palm from no where, and she held them out, leaning forward and smiling up at the men as she did so. One of them took the gold coins and looked at them skeptically, then huffed and pushed open the door.
She was supposed to get change back; the price was only one gold and a few silver. But Nur had long learned to not argue the point. She was not a human, therefore she had to pay more; it was as simple as that.
The vampire grinned upon seeing the inside of the hall. The lights were a bit bright for her preference, but it only allowed her to better see the giant amount of people -- most of them dancing in circles in the center, sweeping in and out, but she could see a few on the sidelines, sipping drinks and watching the show. The orchestra was on a raised stand on the end of the hall, already looking like their arms were about to fall off; the conductor was either into his work or having a seizure. Nur was pretty sure it would not make a difference for the event either way.
Dancing was not her entertainment of choice, however; vampire dances did not tend to involve bipedal motion, but her dress did not tend to appreciate anything involving more than two legs. Instead, scattering the dirt from her feet with a quick thought, Nur approached the bar, nestled close to the stage and surrounded by laughing men with a scattering of women.
She smiled at the upraised eyebrows, and pushed her way to the front, where the bartender looked away from his latest customer to grin at her.
"I figured you'd have to show up eventually. Your usual, hm?"
"Of course." Nur returned the smile, but the man did not seem fazed by the fangs; that was one of the many reasons she liked him. Within a minute he had her drink to her, which just so happened to be another reason.
The drink reflected a rich red colour in the low light; Nur smiled as she sipped it, pleased that all she could taste was a heavy metal sweetness, with only a soft burn as she swallowed it. Derek did always mix the best blood for her; she did not know whether he just had a lot of practice or was naturally talented.
A young man pushed his way through the crowd, tripping over a bar stool. Readjusting his suit, he pressed one gloved hand into the bar as he brushed his bangs out of his eyes. As he did, his eyes met Nur's; she smiled coyly.
"You new here, lovely?" She tilted her head to the side, crossing her legs and lowering her shoulder, the loose fabric resting to expose her body a tad more. "I feel like I'd remember you."
The blank stare was always her favourite part; then comprehension and this man actually blushed, standing a little straighter, and also putting a bar stool between them.
"I, uh, no." He glanced around the crowd.
"Really? We must come on different days, then." She smiled again, coming a little closer and hopping into the stool -- telepathically sending her dress a little higher than it otherwise would. "We should fix that."
He stared at her for a few seconds, eyes wandering -- and then as she expected, since she could feel the shocked horror coming off him, rushed away into the crowd. Smiling impishly, Nur took another sip at her drink; usually the more she had, the better her attempts became. Even she would rate that display as "trying too hard" and "just a little creepy".
Of course, she could keep up the show forever. Scanning the crowd as she sipped her drink, however, she did not see anyone particularly worthy; then, she saw someone break out from the dance floor, sauntering over to the bar. Ears perked, Nur watched the demi approach -- she could see a tail and what looked like pointy ears with tufts on the end, but it was not until she could see the stunted, stiff whiskers poking through her fur-free, faint snout that she felt confident enough to grin and imitate a cat growl.
The demi paused, then bared her fangs and meowed back, flicking her tail.
"You are quite the wild one then, are you?" Nur turned to face her, sipping at her drink casually.
The woman smirked, ears perked forward. "Only as wild as they want me, dear."
"I'd like to see all of it. I'm sure I could match it perfectly." Nur grinned, revealing her fangs, sliding off of her seat and closer to the other woman.
The cat demi smiled down at her, then touched her nose to Nur's snout. "I'm sure you could." And then she turned and vanished back into the crowd.
With a sign the vampire returned to her seat, downing her drink in one last shot and setting it on the bar stool. The bartender came by and refilled it silently, drifting back shortly afterward, a coin falling into his hand. Nur considered chugging the new drink as well, but then remembered that the consequences tended to be incredibly unfortunate.
Then a couple burst through to the bar. The woman looked a bit ruffled, and Nur stood up straighter, watching as she brushed at her tight red dress, pulling at her black gloves and shaking a stray strand of brown hair out of her eyes. She smelled of frustration more than fear, at least, and the man who followed her would have looked much more dapper in his black and white tuxedo if it didn't look a little ruffled, and if his expression wasn't quite so desperate.
"Just one drink, okay?"
"I said no." The woman snapped at the last word, glowering at the man. "I do not want you to buy me a drink, I do not want to dance with you, I do not want to even see your face. Harass someone else."
"But why not? What the fuck have I ever done to you?" The man stood up straighter, but the woman hardly seemed concerned by the height difference. "I come over to you complimenting on your dress--"
"It was more like my ass, actually."
The man's face turned red as he frowned. "Which is still a compliment. Come on. Just one drink."
"No. Get out of my sight." The woman backed against the bar, glaring at the man, who stepped closer. Nur frowned, putting her drink down on the bar half-finished, as the woman's scent turned more toward concern, a small alarm flowing from her mind to Nur's.
"I still think you should give me a chance. Who else is going to be interested in you? You should be grateful--"
Nur hopped off of her bar stool, sliding up to the woman and smiling coolly at the man. "Well, I would be, for one."
The man stared at her incredulously, before gritting his teeth. "Get out of here."
"But why? You asked who else would be interested. I am. So go away. She's mine."
"You're a slimy little swamp beast. Go back to your fucking hole in the ground." The man lifted a foot to come closer; then his eyes widened when he could not get any further.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Nur stared into the man's eyes, not moving from her position even as she slowly pushed the man back telepathically. "I think you have a confused with an Oerdum. 'Slimy little swamp beast' and all. The hole in the ground would be demons, though. Either way, they would kill you, so you know, guess I should do that if that's what you want..."
The man's face quickly paled, and even faster he broke through her hold -- she had not set it too strong to begin with. He turned around and rushed out into the crowd; Nur followed his mind as he rushed out of the club altogether; from there, she released her attention, focusing back on the relief she felt beside her.
"Thank you." The woman smiled at Nur. "I owe you a drink for that."
Nur grinned. "It's fine. Just helping out. I already have something." She reached for her drink, placing her other hand on the bar.
"No no, my treat. It's the least I could do." She placed her hand over Nur's. "The most, well..." She smiled, lowering her eyes as she smiled warmly. "That would depend."
The vampire stared, suddenly remembering just how close she had gotten to the woman to drive the man off; she decided that moving back to her seat like originally planned did not seem like her best choice, and instead grinned. "Well if you absolutely want to, go ahead. I'd be delighted to see what you go for."
"For drinks or more?" The woman turned to the bar, waving at the bartender.
"What did you say? 'That would depend'?" Nur took a sip of her drink, keeping her eyes on the human. "For instance, your name? Would be a good start."
The woman laughed, patting Nur's hand before moving it to curtsy. "Yeah, that'd help, wouldn't it? Lynette. And yours?"
"Nur." She returned the gesture, though she quickly returned her hand to its original spot, watching Lynette's hand move instead to wave at the bartender as he approached; Nur kept her expression as neutral as she could.
"A lovely name. It suits you." Lynette smiled as she turned to the waiting man. "Pink gin for my lovely friend here, please. Make it a little light, I'd rather her not get sick. One for me as well of course."
"Oh my, you like the strong stuff." Nur watched the bartender walk off, her ears pulled slightly back.
"Oh I'm sorry, I hope it won't be too bad? My father's drinking was enough to make whiskey seem light to me, I'm afraid." Lynette smiled softly, putting her hand on Nur's shoulder. "If it's too much I'll take it."
"Well you are buying it for me, the least I can do is drink it right?" Nur smiled, sipping at her drink, warm spreading from Lynette's fingertips and into her shoulder; Nur turned her head slightly and could smell the faintest of jasmine on the woman's skin. "Though I admittedly do prefer drinks with a bit of... Tang."
Lynette laughed lightly. "'Tang', right. If I tried that excuse I'd still be sent to an asylum."
"Well I guess I'll just have to let you get a little sip, hm?" Nur winked and sipped at her drink, resisting the urge to inhale the woman's scent; some humans were a little turned off by that. "I love your gown."
"Why thank you! Yours is impressive. I do love how you guys adapt the dresses to fit you; the results are always fantastic. Is the back open?" Lynette beamed as Nur twirled to show her, eyes lighting up and face flushing slightly. "Absolutely gorgeous. Oh no, go ahead and finish yours, I'll wait." Lynette handed the bartender a few coins as he dropped off the drinks.
"Excellent, I like to savour my food." Regardless Nur downed the rest of her drink and placed the empty glass on the bar, never taking her eyes from Lynette's. "Especially certain kinds of food."
"Oh, don't we all. That's the best kind to linger on." Lynette picked up the two drinks, handing one of the glasses to Nur while she lifted her own. "Cheers to a lovely new friend?"
"The best kind of cheers." Their glasses clinked together softly, and then they sipped. Nur stopped short, the bitter flavour rushing through her senses, causing her to barely swallow it, resisting the urge to gag and cough. Lynette, however, took a decent gulp of the drink as if she held water. "You will have that done before I'm half-way through mine."
Lynette laughed. "Like I said -- father's an impressive drinker. I only plan for this one, though. I think I will find other things to do." She smiled coyly, wrapping an arm around Nur's shoulders.
The vampire startled at the touch; the two drinks she had already said had settled in her stomach and were spreading warmth throughout her, soothing her mind just enough to only twitch. Without it, the intimate touch would have sent her back, but even so it could not stop her thinking about Haniyya and how she was devoted to her, her alone, even though she would never see her again, see only the memories of what had happened to her, her corpse crumbling in the bright sun...
"Sorry. Was that too forward?" Lynette had backed up a few inches, her hands and drink pressed close to her chest, frowning with worry.
Nur shook herself off and smiled, already noticing the jasmine scent fading. "No no. Sorry. It was fine."
"Are you sure?" Lynette returned to Nur's side, voice plagued with concern and guilt Nur considered uncalled for. "I mean I saw the scars but I thought it would be better if I just didn't bring it up... They don't bother me, of course, but if you'd rather not--"
"Really, it's fine." Nur slid up to Lynette, inhaling the other woman's scent, overriding the memories with it to think of the jasmine flowers fluttering in the wind. "It's in the past."
Lynette took a deep breath, mouth open to say something further; Nur could feel the worry in her mind, churning and crashing, but instead she just smiled and nodded, putting her arm back around Nur, though much more lightly than before. "Okay, but please, let me know. I can be a bit enthusiastic."
"The more the better." Nur winked, sending her tail to brush against the other woman's legs; Lynette jumped slightly, then grinned, flushing. "And enough of these and the flashbacks stop. Alcohol's a wonder drug like that."
The human laughed lightly. "I don't think they recommend that usually but as long as you're not incapacitated. I prefer my partners to be coherent."
"Oh don't worry. I know my limits quite well. This drink will be my last." Nur took a sip and winced. "If I can manage it, of course."
Delicately Lynette took the drink from her hands. "Oh don't force yourself to have it on my behalf. I should have asked your preference. I'll just have them both and it'll give us that much more time to get acquainted."
"Sounds excellent." Nur grinned, leaning against the bar. "Let's start with mundane. Do you work?"
Lynette nodded, finishing her sip. "I'm a singer, actually. This is my night off."
"Can I count on you to serenade me at some point then?" Nur grinned.
"That'd depend on what you do to me, I think." Lynette smirked back, taking another sip of her drink; Nur couldn't help but receive little images of what the singer meant and tuck them into the back of her mind. "And you?"
"Telepathic communications. You know, like every other vampire you've ever known."
Lynette chuckled, then finished her drink and set it on the bar. "Not every one! Just most of them. And then once I met a telepathic mover, that almost blew my mind."
They both laughed over that, Lynette taking sips of Nur's drink between snickers. The vampire -- finally feeling some sort of disdain that she could not identify, overriding her attempts to read Lynette's emotions -- looked up toward the crowd, and noticed coolly the people staring at them, some of them catching cursory glances, others a little more obvious in their disapproval. Eventually Lynette's laughter died down, and Nur felt her mind seethe with aggravation.
"Ugh, seriously, we aren't a public show." The human snorted as she took a rapid shot of the remaining drink, putting it down on the bar.
"Well we could be one if you wanted." Nur smirked and leaned in closer, but Lynette snickered and put her hands up.
"Oh no, if we're going to do that we need to be at the front door. That's way funnier and gives us an easier getaway."
Lynette took Nur's hand, and they grinned at each other; and they then weaved through the crowd, approaching the empty area right outside of the dance area, where people were still filtering into the hall and pausing to watch the bustle and listen to the music. There Lynette and Nur paused, glancing at the people twirling through the dance floor, then at the bar, and then finally at the men letting people in.
And it was there that Lynette swept one hand to Nur's lower back, tilted the vampire's head back, and kissed her, while Nur slipped a hand under her dress, resting it against the woman's breast, fingers pressing gently.
They barely managed to wait until they were out of the club before bursting into laughter at the looks of everyone who had noticed.
~~~
Lynette did not live far from the club; since she often got her business there, she decided an apartment in the middle of the entertainment distract was worth the exorbitant cost. The building was old but in impressive shape, and the apartment itself was roomy, with large windows and decorative arches etched into the walls and curved ceilings. An impressive chandelier hung in the center of the living room but Lynette admitted to almost never lighting it; too much of a hassle, especially with her stature.
They did not stay long to admire the living room but instead moved into the master bedroom, where Nur wondered about how much that mattress cost and how easily she could borrow it without Lynette noticing.
"If you come by here again, you can use it as much as you like." Lynette ran a hand over Nur's mane, brushing her hand down the woman's spine.
Nur's best response was a kiss, and so she gave one -- first on the woman's lips, teasing at her tongue, then down to her neck, trailing kisses along it. Lynette sighed softly in respond, hands moving up to Nur's shoulders, where she slipped her hands under the dress and gently tugged at it, pulling it down to expose the tops of Nur's breasts, her hands slipping down underneath the fabric so she could squeeze them and rub her thumbs across Nur's nipples.
Warmth washed over Nur, separate from the alcohol, and she pulled back from Lynette's body, her own hands searching for wherever the coy little dress came through; but Lynette seemed to understand the point and, with one last gentle squeeze, pulled her hands back and behind herself; Nur watched, head tilted curiously, as the dress mysteriously loosened, unable to find the answer to that secret in the fabric or in Lynette's mind.
"I have my ways." Lynette smirked, reaching over and kissing Nur's nose. "Though I must say, I like yours."
She then went back to Nur's dress and gently pushed it down a bit further, so that Nur made sure to pull her arms out of the sleeves; and with nothing to really hold it any further the top dropped down to the waist, and Lynette smiled warmly as she leaned in, breathing into Nur's chest, rubbing her hands against the tight corset Nur wore
"You have the most adorable little body."
They were not words Nur heard often, and as Lynette kissed Nur's chest, then moved to her breasts, they were perhaps what stuck out. Not odd, not inhuman, not furry -- adorable. The warmth spread through her body from where Lynette's lips touched her, and Nur sighed, breathing more heavily, looking down as Lynette licked at one of her breasts, kissing and sucking at it.
She leaned down and smelled the human's hair, and could identify the exact products she used -- rose, lavender, a trace of oil -- she inhaled deeply, breathing heavily into her hair, filling her nose and mind with it until all she noticed was Lynette, and her flowers and oil, and the curvature of her back as she slipped the woman's dress down, fingers pressing into the muscles of her back until she was down to the woman's waist.
Lynette had moved to Nur's other breast but it registered almost as an aftermath in the vampire's thought, an explanation for her heavier breathing. Her mind was instead focused on her -- the smell of her hair, perfectly done up with a red ribbon to complement her dress. She wore no corset and so Nur focused on the contours of her spine, rubbing her hands along it, resisting the urge to dig her claws in and claim her own -- humans, she reminded herself firmly, did not have the fur to protect themselves. Claws would only mar the beauty, and she made a habit of only savoring that.
Her eyes focused finally on the red ribbon, and curiosity overtook her, and she undid it, carefully -- and watched in awe as Lynette's hair spilled down her back and across Nur's chest.
"You have a lot of hair." Nur breathed the words out dreamily, running her hands through the strands, marveling at how much clearer Lynette's scent became -- it enveloped the room and Nur willingly washed in it.
Lynette giggled, bringing her head up to Nur's level. "Yeah it's a pain sometimes. But do you like it?"
"It's so pretty. Which is very suiting." Nur reached and kissed the other woman deeply, teasing her tongue, rubbing her hands down to gently tug the dress over Lynette's undergarment. She soon had it free, the dress falling off the side of the bed. "There, that's better."
"Who needs clothes anyway." Lynette soon had Nur's dress off as well. "Though I like that corset. Is it uncomfortable or...?"
"If you like it, then keep it there." And she knew she did; Nur kissed Lynette's neck, one hand at the woman's breasts while the other trailed down to between her legs.
Lynette smiled and pulled Nur closer, hands down to squeeze and knead at her ass, kissing her until both of them remembered the importance of breathing, though they both agreed that needing to do that was absolutely silly and entirely got in the way of progress. Then they fell to the bed, Nur rubbing steady circles while Lynette slowly brought her hands over to return the favour, her mouth back on Nur's chest.
The human's fingers spoke of practice, and that Nur approved immensely of; perhaps some liked the idea of deflowering virgins but Nur preferred those who knew what they were doing, what they liked, even those who were a little demanding about it. Lynette seemed to prefer being a puzzle -- but Nur had experience solving those; after all, vampires did not lock what they wanted within their mind. They pushed it open in their thoughts, showed their partners past experiences that went poorly, or ones they really liked; and while humans did not broadcast it, it was not difficult to find. Within a minute or so she had found the pattern that left Lynette gasping into the vampire's chest, little moans escaping her mouth as she intertwined her legs with Nur's, pushing herself up and onto the vampire, nibbling at her ears.
"You are a little expert, lady of the night." The words were hot in Nur's ears and the vampire grinned, increasing her pattern, rubbing harder, watching as Lynette began to quiver and wondering -- cheeky in her own brain, which was giddy on its own high, the best one there was -- how loud she could get her partner to be.
But then Lynette slipped her hands to Nur's undergarment and slipped it off, and Nur took that invitation to do the same to her -- and as soon as she had Lynette took her own fingers and pressed them against her, finding exactly the right spots and the right patterns, pushing into the vampire and finding the right pace, without even needing the help of her mind...
Nur did not consider herself quiet in any situation. She especially did not hold back in the bedroom. Vampires liked to announce when they were enjoying themselves -- but Lynette did not seem thrown off by the cries, yelps, and chattering, only increasing her pace and, as Nur found that returning the favour was her best option, adding to the song with her own high-pitched voice.
Eventually the warmth reached a high crescendo and Nur rode out on it, listening to Lynette's moans and cries as she quickly reached the same point; and then the human sank onto her, panting heavily, licking at her nose and smiling as she licked her fingers quickly clean and brushed them through Nur's mane.
"You are fantastic, my lady." Lynette kissed her gently, sliding to lay beside her on the bed, head against her shoulder. "And so very warm."
"I'm your sexy blanket." Nur returned the embrace, laughing along with the other woman. "It's totally true. You won't need sheets."
As she said that she turned on her side and unfurled her wings -- a little awkward at first, but Lynette quickly realized they both had to unfold, and soon the woman was enveloped in them, pressed against Nur's body, snuggled close and smiling.
"You are very right, dear." Lynette sighed softly. "Sleep well, then, my sexy little blanket."
And as she felt and listened to Lynette fall asleep, whistling very softly in her sleep, Nur rests her head against the other woman's, feeling the warmth decrease but never quite leave -- supported by the human she embraced, held close to her the way she once held Haniyya during the sunny days of Garanee, protected by the blankets of the coven.
She pushed the thoughts gently away -- not tonight. Not until morning. Until the sun came up, she did not want the past and its dreary memories. She wanted only the present.
And in that present she had a companion whose hair she buried her nose lightly into, so that the smell of lavender oil slowly lulled her into peaceful dreams.
The cat demi smiled down at her, then touched her nose to Nur's snout. "I'm sure you could." And then she turned and vanished back into the crowd.
With a sign the vampire returned to her seat, downing her drink in one last shot and setting it on the bar stool. The bartender came by and refilled it silently, drifting back shortly afterward, a coin falling into his hand. Nur considered chugging the new drink as well, but then remembered that the consequences tended to be incredibly unfortunate.
Then a couple burst through to the bar. The woman looked a bit ruffled, and Nur stood up straighter, watching as she brushed at her tight red dress, pulling at her black gloves and shaking a stray strand of brown hair out of her eyes. She smelled of frustration more than fear, at least, and the man who followed her would have looked much more dapper in his black and white tuxedo if it didn't look a little ruffled, and if his expression wasn't quite so desperate.
"Just one drink, okay?"
"I said no." The woman snapped at the last word, glowering at the man. "I do not want you to buy me a drink, I do not want to dance with you, I do not want to even see your face. Harass someone else."
"But why not? What the fuck have I ever done to you?" The man stood up straighter, but the woman hardly seemed concerned by the height difference. "I come over to you complimenting on your dress--"
"It was more like my ass, actually."
The man's face turned red as he frowned. "Which is still a compliment. Come on. Just one drink."
"No. Get out of my sight." The woman backed against the bar, glaring at the man, who stepped closer. Nur frowned, putting her drink down on the bar half-finished, as the woman's scent turned more toward concern, a small alarm flowing from her mind to Nur's.
"I still think you should give me a chance. Who else is going to be interested in you? You should be grateful--"
Nur hopped off of her bar stool, sliding up to the woman and smiling coolly at the man. "Well, I would be, for one."
The man stared at her incredulously, before gritting his teeth. "Get out of here."
"But why? You asked who else would be interested. I am. So go away. She's mine."
"You're a slimy little swamp beast. Go back to your fucking hole in the ground." The man lifted a foot to come closer; then his eyes widened when he could not get any further.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Nur stared into the man's eyes, not moving from her position even as she slowly pushed the man back telepathically. "I think you have a confused with an Oerdum. 'Slimy little swamp beast' and all. The hole in the ground would be demons, though. Either way, they would kill you, so you know, guess I should do that if that's what you want..."
The man's face quickly paled, and even faster he broke through her hold -- she had not set it too strong to begin with. He turned around and rushed out into the crowd; Nur followed his mind as he rushed out of the club altogether; from there, she released her attention, focusing back on the relief she felt beside her.
"Thank you." The woman smiled at Nur. "I owe you a drink for that."
Nur grinned. "It's fine. Just helping out. I already have something." She reached for her drink, placing her other hand on the bar.
"No no, my treat. It's the least I could do." She placed her hand over Nur's. "The most, well..." She smiled, lowering her eyes as she smiled warmly. "That would depend."
The vampire stared, suddenly remembering just how close she had gotten to the woman to drive the man off; she decided that moving back to her seat like originally planned did not seem like her best choice, and instead grinned. "Well if you absolutely want to, go ahead. I'd be delighted to see what you go for."
"For drinks or more?" The woman turned to the bar, waving at the bartender.
"What did you say? 'That would depend'?" Nur took a sip of her drink, keeping her eyes on the human. "For instance, your name? Would be a good start."
The woman laughed, patting Nur's hand before moving it to curtsy. "Yeah, that'd help, wouldn't it? Lynette. And yours?"
"Nur." She returned the gesture, though she quickly returned her hand to its original spot, watching Lynette's hand move instead to wave at the bartender as he approached; Nur kept her expression as neutral as she could.
"A lovely name. It suits you." Lynette smiled as she turned to the waiting man. "Pink gin for my lovely friend here, please. Make it a little light, I'd rather her not get sick. One for me as well of course."
"Oh my, you like the strong stuff." Nur watched the bartender walk off, her ears pulled slightly back.
"Oh I'm sorry, I hope it won't be too bad? My father's drinking was enough to make whiskey seem light to me, I'm afraid." Lynette smiled softly, putting her hand on Nur's shoulder. "If it's too much I'll take it."
"Well you are buying it for me, the least I can do is drink it right?" Nur smiled, sipping at her drink, warm spreading from Lynette's fingertips and into her shoulder; Nur turned her head slightly and could smell the faintest of jasmine on the woman's skin. "Though I admittedly do prefer drinks with a bit of... Tang."
Lynette laughed lightly. "'Tang', right. If I tried that excuse I'd still be sent to an asylum."
"Well I guess I'll just have to let you get a little sip, hm?" Nur winked and sipped at her drink, resisting the urge to inhale the woman's scent; some humans were a little turned off by that. "I love your gown."
"Why thank you! Yours is impressive. I do love how you guys adapt the dresses to fit you; the results are always fantastic. Is the back open?" Lynette beamed as Nur twirled to show her, eyes lighting up and face flushing slightly. "Absolutely gorgeous. Oh no, go ahead and finish yours, I'll wait." Lynette handed the bartender a few coins as he dropped off the drinks.
"Excellent, I like to savour my food." Regardless Nur downed the rest of her drink and placed the empty glass on the bar, never taking her eyes from Lynette's. "Especially certain kinds of food."
"Oh, don't we all. That's the best kind to linger on." Lynette picked up the two drinks, handing one of the glasses to Nur while she lifted her own. "Cheers to a lovely new friend?"
"The best kind of cheers." Their glasses clinked together softly, and then they sipped. Nur stopped short, the bitter flavour rushing through her senses, causing her to barely swallow it, resisting the urge to gag and cough. Lynette, however, took a decent gulp of the drink as if she held water. "You will have that done before I'm half-way through mine."
Lynette laughed. "Like I said -- father's an impressive drinker. I only plan for this one, though. I think I will find other things to do." She smiled coyly, wrapping an arm around Nur's shoulders.
The vampire startled at the touch; the two drinks she had already said had settled in her stomach and were spreading warmth throughout her, soothing her mind just enough to only twitch. Without it, the intimate touch would have sent her back, but even so it could not stop her thinking about Haniyya and how she was devoted to her, her alone, even though she would never see her again, see only the memories of what had happened to her, her corpse crumbling in the bright sun...
"Sorry. Was that too forward?" Lynette had backed up a few inches, her hands and drink pressed close to her chest, frowning with worry.
Nur shook herself off and smiled, already noticing the jasmine scent fading. "No no. Sorry. It was fine."
"Are you sure?" Lynette returned to Nur's side, voice plagued with concern and guilt Nur considered uncalled for. "I mean I saw the scars but I thought it would be better if I just didn't bring it up... They don't bother me, of course, but if you'd rather not--"
"Really, it's fine." Nur slid up to Lynette, inhaling the other woman's scent, overriding the memories with it to think of the jasmine flowers fluttering in the wind. "It's in the past."
Lynette took a deep breath, mouth open to say something further; Nur could feel the worry in her mind, churning and crashing, but instead she just smiled and nodded, putting her arm back around Nur, though much more lightly than before. "Okay, but please, let me know. I can be a bit enthusiastic."
"The more the better." Nur winked, sending her tail to brush against the other woman's legs; Lynette jumped slightly, then grinned, flushing. "And enough of these and the flashbacks stop. Alcohol's a wonder drug like that."
The human laughed lightly. "I don't think they recommend that usually but as long as you're not incapacitated. I prefer my partners to be coherent."
"Oh don't worry. I know my limits quite well. This drink will be my last." Nur took a sip and winced. "If I can manage it, of course."
Delicately Lynette took the drink from her hands. "Oh don't force yourself to have it on my behalf. I should have asked your preference. I'll just have them both and it'll give us that much more time to get acquainted."
"Sounds excellent." Nur grinned, leaning against the bar. "Let's start with mundane. Do you work?"
Lynette nodded, finishing her sip. "I'm a singer, actually. This is my night off."
"Can I count on you to serenade me at some point then?" Nur grinned.
"That'd depend on what you do to me, I think." Lynette smirked back, taking another sip of her drink; Nur couldn't help but receive little images of what the singer meant and tuck them into the back of her mind. "And you?"
"Telepathic communications. You know, like every other vampire you've ever known."
Lynette chuckled, then finished her drink and set it on the bar. "Not every one! Just most of them. And then once I met a telepathic mover, that almost blew my mind."
They both laughed over that, Lynette taking sips of Nur's drink between snickers. The vampire -- finally feeling some sort of disdain that she could not identify, overriding her attempts to read Lynette's emotions -- looked up toward the crowd, and noticed coolly the people staring at them, some of them catching cursory glances, others a little more obvious in their disapproval. Eventually Lynette's laughter died down, and Nur felt her mind seethe with aggravation.
"Ugh, seriously, we aren't a public show." The human snorted as she took a rapid shot of the remaining drink, putting it down on the bar.
"Well we could be one if you wanted." Nur smirked and leaned in closer, but Lynette snickered and put her hands up.
"Oh no, if we're going to do that we need to be at the front door. That's way funnier and gives us an easier getaway."
Lynette took Nur's hand, and they grinned at each other; and they then weaved through the crowd, approaching the empty area right outside of the dance area, where people were still filtering into the hall and pausing to watch the bustle and listen to the music. There Lynette and Nur paused, glancing at the people twirling through the dance floor, then at the bar, and then finally at the men letting people in.
And it was there that Lynette swept one hand to Nur's lower back, tilted the vampire's head back, and kissed her, while Nur slipped a hand under her dress, resting it against the woman's breast, fingers pressing gently.
They barely managed to wait until they were out of the club before bursting into laughter at the looks of everyone who had noticed.
~~~
Lynette did not live far from the club; since she often got her business there, she decided an apartment in the middle of the entertainment distract was worth the exorbitant cost. The building was old but in impressive shape, and the apartment itself was roomy, with large windows and decorative arches etched into the walls and curved ceilings. An impressive chandelier hung in the center of the living room but Lynette admitted to almost never lighting it; too much of a hassle, especially with her stature.
They did not stay long to admire the living room but instead moved into the master bedroom, where Nur wondered about how much that mattress cost and how easily she could borrow it without Lynette noticing.
"If you come by here again, you can use it as much as you like." Lynette ran a hand over Nur's mane, brushing her hand down the woman's spine.
Nur's best response was a kiss, and so she gave one -- first on the woman's lips, teasing at her tongue, then down to her neck, trailing kisses along it. Lynette sighed softly in respond, hands moving up to Nur's shoulders, where she slipped her hands under the dress and gently tugged at it, pulling it down to expose the tops of Nur's breasts, her hands slipping down underneath the fabric so she could squeeze them and rub her thumbs across Nur's nipples.
Warmth washed over Nur, separate from the alcohol, and she pulled back from Lynette's body, her own hands searching for wherever the coy little dress came through; but Lynette seemed to understand the point and, with one last gentle squeeze, pulled her hands back and behind herself; Nur watched, head tilted curiously, as the dress mysteriously loosened, unable to find the answer to that secret in the fabric or in Lynette's mind.
"I have my ways." Lynette smirked, reaching over and kissing Nur's nose. "Though I must say, I like yours."
She then went back to Nur's dress and gently pushed it down a bit further, so that Nur made sure to pull her arms out of the sleeves; and with nothing to really hold it any further the top dropped down to the waist, and Lynette smiled warmly as she leaned in, breathing into Nur's chest, rubbing her hands against the tight corset Nur wore
"You have the most adorable little body."
They were not words Nur heard often, and as Lynette kissed Nur's chest, then moved to her breasts, they were perhaps what stuck out. Not odd, not inhuman, not furry -- adorable. The warmth spread through her body from where Lynette's lips touched her, and Nur sighed, breathing more heavily, looking down as Lynette licked at one of her breasts, kissing and sucking at it.
She leaned down and smelled the human's hair, and could identify the exact products she used -- rose, lavender, a trace of oil -- she inhaled deeply, breathing heavily into her hair, filling her nose and mind with it until all she noticed was Lynette, and her flowers and oil, and the curvature of her back as she slipped the woman's dress down, fingers pressing into the muscles of her back until she was down to the woman's waist.
Lynette had moved to Nur's other breast but it registered almost as an aftermath in the vampire's thought, an explanation for her heavier breathing. Her mind was instead focused on her -- the smell of her hair, perfectly done up with a red ribbon to complement her dress. She wore no corset and so Nur focused on the contours of her spine, rubbing her hands along it, resisting the urge to dig her claws in and claim her own -- humans, she reminded herself firmly, did not have the fur to protect themselves. Claws would only mar the beauty, and she made a habit of only savoring that.
Her eyes focused finally on the red ribbon, and curiosity overtook her, and she undid it, carefully -- and watched in awe as Lynette's hair spilled down her back and across Nur's chest.
"You have a lot of hair." Nur breathed the words out dreamily, running her hands through the strands, marveling at how much clearer Lynette's scent became -- it enveloped the room and Nur willingly washed in it.
Lynette giggled, bringing her head up to Nur's level. "Yeah it's a pain sometimes. But do you like it?"
"It's so pretty. Which is very suiting." Nur reached and kissed the other woman deeply, teasing her tongue, rubbing her hands down to gently tug the dress over Lynette's undergarment. She soon had it free, the dress falling off the side of the bed. "There, that's better."
"Who needs clothes anyway." Lynette soon had Nur's dress off as well. "Though I like that corset. Is it uncomfortable or...?"
"If you like it, then keep it there." And she knew she did; Nur kissed Lynette's neck, one hand at the woman's breasts while the other trailed down to between her legs.
Lynette smiled and pulled Nur closer, hands down to squeeze and knead at her ass, kissing her until both of them remembered the importance of breathing, though they both agreed that needing to do that was absolutely silly and entirely got in the way of progress. Then they fell to the bed, Nur rubbing steady circles while Lynette slowly brought her hands over to return the favour, her mouth back on Nur's chest.
The human's fingers spoke of practice, and that Nur approved immensely of; perhaps some liked the idea of deflowering virgins but Nur preferred those who knew what they were doing, what they liked, even those who were a little demanding about it. Lynette seemed to prefer being a puzzle -- but Nur had experience solving those; after all, vampires did not lock what they wanted within their mind. They pushed it open in their thoughts, showed their partners past experiences that went poorly, or ones they really liked; and while humans did not broadcast it, it was not difficult to find. Within a minute or so she had found the pattern that left Lynette gasping into the vampire's chest, little moans escaping her mouth as she intertwined her legs with Nur's, pushing herself up and onto the vampire, nibbling at her ears.
"You are a little expert, lady of the night." The words were hot in Nur's ears and the vampire grinned, increasing her pattern, rubbing harder, watching as Lynette began to quiver and wondering -- cheeky in her own brain, which was giddy on its own high, the best one there was -- how loud she could get her partner to be.
But then Lynette slipped her hands to Nur's undergarment and slipped it off, and Nur took that invitation to do the same to her -- and as soon as she had Lynette took her own fingers and pressed them against her, finding exactly the right spots and the right patterns, pushing into the vampire and finding the right pace, without even needing the help of her mind...
Nur did not consider herself quiet in any situation. She especially did not hold back in the bedroom. Vampires liked to announce when they were enjoying themselves -- but Lynette did not seem thrown off by the cries, yelps, and chattering, only increasing her pace and, as Nur found that returning the favour was her best option, adding to the song with her own high-pitched voice.
Eventually the warmth reached a high crescendo and Nur rode out on it, listening to Lynette's moans and cries as she quickly reached the same point; and then the human sank onto her, panting heavily, licking at her nose and smiling as she licked her fingers quickly clean and brushed them through Nur's mane.
"You are fantastic, my lady." Lynette kissed her gently, sliding to lay beside her on the bed, head against her shoulder. "And so very warm."
"I'm your sexy blanket." Nur returned the embrace, laughing along with the other woman. "It's totally true. You won't need sheets."
As she said that she turned on her side and unfurled her wings -- a little awkward at first, but Lynette quickly realized they both had to unfold, and soon the woman was enveloped in them, pressed against Nur's body, snuggled close and smiling.
"You are very right, dear." Lynette sighed softly. "Sleep well, then, my sexy little blanket."
And as she felt and listened to Lynette fall asleep, whistling very softly in her sleep, Nur rests her head against the other woman's, feeling the warmth decrease but never quite leave -- supported by the human she embraced, held close to her the way she once held Haniyya during the sunny days of Garanee, protected by the blankets of the coven.
She pushed the thoughts gently away -- not tonight. Not until morning. Until the sun came up, she did not want the past and its dreary memories. She wanted only the present.
And in that present she had a companion whose hair she buried her nose lightly into, so that the smell of lavender oil slowly lulled her into peaceful dreams.

Is excellent. IMO, sex scenes are at their most valuable when the mechanics are an excuse for writing about other things -- whether to say something about a character while they are vulnerable, or about romance or sensuality in general.
One small bit of critique, though: I believe the sparsity of commas in the dialogue is deliberate for style reasons, but it didn't work for me.

Oh, I am most pleased. I'm going to hold your schedule hostage so you can write more AG, because I want to read more of it. I definitely agree with smw that this is a significant improvement from your last erotic piece. I did encounter just a smattering of word repetition errors, but I reckon those would be easily fixed by some light editing. Overall - thoroughly enjoyable, very cute, and your typical brand of charming world building.
