Tragically, it at least partially does -- half of the trigger was because of the brutal things I was doing to the characters, and because my brain had already come up with some details about it that just made me feel even worse about (the older woman, for instance, has dementia -- hence the vampire's sense of her having a "lost" mind). I feel terrible for the things I do to Greta, and it's not different for the more innocent family members.
